On May 26th. we lost our employee, co-worker and friend Howie Guinther. R.I.P. Brother we sure miss you. Raymond
Guinther Obituary Howie was born in Coshocton on February 17, 1951, to the late Robert "Bob" Guinther and Mary (Carr) Breslin. He retired from General Electric in Coshocton and enjoyed working part time at Twisted Image Cycles and Specialty Jeeps. Howie loved tinkering around in his garage, had such a love of motorcycles. He never met a stranger, Howie had so many friends and loved each and every one. Howie is survived by his loving wife Tamara (Woerner) Guinther; children Michelle and Shawn Guinther; stepchildren Ryan Carroll and Ann (Brandon) Murray; five grandchildren Gavin, Caiden, Grayson, Jaci and Mason; siblings Mike (Diane) Guinther, Terry (Lisa) Guinther and Ann (Steven) Whipple; several nieces and nephews. To honor Howie's wishes, a cremation will take place, a celebration of life will be held at a later date. May 19, 2024 Please share

May 1, 2022 Today we purchased the old Mission Auto property on U.S. Route 36 in Coshocton. Over the summer we will be cleaning up the property and migrating over to the new facilty. The new place includes a seperate body shop building, service building, and another building we will be doing all our Jeep builds in plus an office building out front were we will have our offices and our Ebay store and a showroom full of accessories and after market add ons like lift kits, tops, winches, bumpers, etc. We will be a full service Jeep Super Store where you can buy your accessories and have them installed. We will also continue to do all our restorations at the new location which will allow us to streamline our operation.

December 3 , 2018 We
lost our good friend and co-worker Chuck Duff today. For the past year
Chuck has been battling cancer and he lost that battle today. Chuck was
our body and paint guy at the shop and we are going to miss him dearly. June 1, 2018 We drove several of our Army trucks and Jeeps in the local Coshocton, Ohio Memorial Day Parade this past weekend. We passed out free flags that were made right here in Coshocton from The Annin Flag Company.
January 10, 2018 We are in the process of launching our new website and parts website please bare with us if certain sections of our site are not functionable at this time they all will be available very soon! December 1, 2017 We are proud to announce that my daughter Amanda Jo Darr has joined the Specialty Jeep team. Amanda will be handling the office and day to day operations of the business and will be handling our new parts department. She will also be maintaining our new website and parts website and will be processing all the orders.
November 25, 2017 Here at Specialty Jeeps one thing we take to heart is our veterans. We believe in taking care of those who served in our armed services and fought for our country and freedom. We purchased this deuce and a half and restoring it for our local veterans to use in parades and fundraisers. We are also restoring a fleet of military Jeeps and other trucks for our veterans to use and to have their own fleet of vehicles to enter in parades.
August 17, 2016 We are now a dealer and installer for doing Raptor Lining. We purchased the equipment to professionally apply linings to Jeep bodies, undercoating, truck liners, body protection and more. We also have the ability to tint the liner to the color of your vehicle.

We just finished restoring a 1953 M38A1 Navy Patrol Jeep for owner Jody Madaras. This Jeep has a name and his name is Ollie and he is part of the musical show "All Hands On Deck" which performs regularly in Branson, MO but also travels the country. Exciting News! We finalized a deal on the old Shaffer Sports / Shaffer Awning and Tent Building at the Coshocton County Airport Complex We will be renovating and moving in right after the first of the year. The facility will be a full service Jeep and 4x4 Center where we will be doing our restorations and also be doing service on all makes and models of Jeeps and 4x4's. We are a dealer for many of the parts manufacturers for Jeeps and we will be offering a full line of parts and installation. Moving into this new location will allow us to have our own metal fabrication shop, body shop, service area, parts inventory and showroom.
